Bag Making is FUN!

Issue #291  -         March 14, 2025

Hello & Welcome!

So... here we are, fresh from the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, VA earlier this month, and  I have to say, this was the weakest MAQF show that we've ever had. Hopefully, this is not indicative of what the rest of the year has in store for us, but only time will tell...

In the meantime, in case you missed it, we released of our new pattern, the Carolinian earlier this month, and here's a little introductory video you can see by clicking HERE

What Was I Writing About Back Then?

Have you visited our Blog Archive? We have a HUGE archive of writing on our website and sometimes I like to go back and see what I was writing on or around this time during year's past. And guess what? It turns out that rereading these posts brings back some GREAT memories for me. I hope you enjoy them too!

An Interesting Read- Welcome to "Pothole Land"

A bucktoothed llama that spends his days comforting chronically ill children at a North Carolina camp founded by NASCAR royalty has been crowned the world’s oldest llama in captivity.

At 27+ years, Whitetop has become known for his relaxed, sweet & empathetic personality. His go-to move is to lie still while campers pet him, which can comfort children & give them important sensory input.

Sewing in the News- Life After the Joann Closure

The closure of all Joann stores is a huge loss for the American craft community. Thousands of employees will lose their jobs. Many Joann shoppers will lose a trusted local resource they’ve relied on for years if not decades, especially as the chain’s expansive growth often forced competitors out of business. It’s clear that after the stores close, many areas will no longer have a craft store nearby. So... what are are choices now? Click HERE to read more!
